Hola amigos! Sorry for the absence. I have missed you all. And hasn’t our world altered since my last post. Brexit discussion anyone? Now are we all happy with Theresa May being appointed PM? Are we worried that the border will close and that M&S will hike up their prices to such a degree we… Read More Erm… Hi. Yeah I haven’t died.
The weather today was spectacular. Last week we were in the UK. It was either raining or freezing, and sometimes it did both. Our flight home was like something from a horror show. With really bad turbulence, we circled for what seemed like forever in a cloud so thick that I couldn’t see the end… Read More Sunset 17-December
Saturday afternoon I sauntered down to Little Bay to see some friends and to take the camera out for a little bit of exercise. The view across the Strait of Gibraltar never ceases to amaze or impress me. “That there”, I think to myself, “is the very tip of Africa.” 🙂
When I woke up today the sky was a bright crystal clear blue. As the morning rolled on, or should I say, as I rolled (on the bus) towards Europa Point the sky became somewhat muddled. The Levante cloud, was it that? I don’t know. A ‘cloud’ or fog of some description rolled in from… Read More And the mist rolled in…
Morocco today from Little Bay in Gibraltar. The weather right now is my favourite kind. Hot enough to feel it, but not so hot that you are dripping sweat. Ew. It was just gloriously warm, so a late afternoon walk was called for…. This was our view 🙂
It is rainy season.
My obsession with clouds and the sky grows. I don’t know if this is because next week we travel to the UK. (Think grim grey cold skies with lashings of rain, snow and general ‘meh-ness’.) Or if it is just the beautiful colours of sunset and dusk, and almost artistic finish to the clouds this… Read More It’s a cloud thing…
During the day the sky went from bright blue in places, to dark grey. It looked as though we might get rain, then the wind got involved and the sun would appear again. This evening those big fluffy clouds put on an amazing show. Thanks nature! 😉
A few pictures from our ‘autumn’ stroll. This sunshine is amazing. It is in fact warmer right now than it was at the tail end of summer!
On Friday last week Dad and I went up to O’Hara’s Battery. Now for anyone familiar with the Rock of Gibraltar they will know that a) this old battery is housed on the very highest part of the Rock (a new fact to me, I always thought the peak nearest to Spain was the highest)… Read More O’Hara’s Battery – Gibraltar
So on the 8th of September Dad and I went for an evening stroll. We headed down to Rosia Bay and happened to witness the most beautiful sunset I have seen in ages. The Bay, the boats and the hills of Algeciras made for the perfect setting it has to be said. I love how… Read More Sunset
So it has been a little while since I last went to Europa Point. So a few days back I dragged (I didn’t drag him really, we were out for a walk) Dad down there. A memorial commemorating the death of General Sikorski who died just off the coast has been moved there. This memorial… Read More Europa Point – Gibraltar
