Catching up…

So my dad has been and gone. A relaxing holiday where he did a LOT of walking, I did join him on several occasions. Not every walk though because normal life has to go on to a degree! We had a few days out in Spain as well, which with the help of our lessons went loads easier for me than it normally does! Normally I sit blank faced and mute and let Mr BOTR do the talking. Not this time. Food and drink was ordered and we didn’t get any meaty shocks!

National day was good. We didn’t get down to Casemates but we still got squashed in the crowds. There was so many people. And I enjoyed the outfits of the people who did some fancy dress red and white ensembles!

We had lunch with our friends in Ocean Village and then we returned home, relaxed, and waited for the fireworks, while Mr BOTR went down to Casemates for the evening concert.

Obviously we went up the Rock. Ever wondered what it looks like up there when the cloud is very white and moving fast? Wonder no longer…

Being the daredevils that we are, we hiked up to Douglas Point, after visiting the new bridge. Such an amazing view from there!

One of our trips out in Spain was to Tarifa. My Dad loves that place. Not sure if it is the view of North Africa, the beautiful little town or the amazing cake shop…

I suspect it might be the cake shop 😉

So now we have another visitor due in a week or so. She’s been before, but this visit we are attending the Gibraltar Boot Camp. Which I just made up. We are having a mega healthy exercise and salad weekend. Definitely no cake…

So until next time I’ll leave you with this amazing sunset and what the golden light does to the blinds on our front room. They don’t call it the golden hour for nothing!

  1. Beautiful photos! I’ve tried and failed to catch a decent pic of the cloud forming at the top of the Rock… you captured it perfectly. I think standing in that cool damp air is perfect reward for climbing to the top! 🙂
