We walk past this restaurant every single day. There isn’t a day when it isn’t overflowing with people. Yesterday we decided to stop by there for dinner. We got sat straight away. Complimentary green olives were brought to the table whilst we ordered our drinks. While we waited for the drinks we perused the menu. Lots of very traditional delicious Italian dishes.
When we saw beef carpaccio as a starter we decided to share it. And for our main course I had Margherita pizza and my husband had prawn risotto.
The carpaccio was absolutely delicious. It was slightly different to other places in that is was served with thinly cut toasted baguette, but it was seasoned with lemon juice and rucola, I will definitely order it again, but one each, as the portion isn’t the biggest! The main course for both of us was absolute perfection. I have zero complaints. I was stuffed! My husband even squeezed in two slices of my enormous pizza! We didn’t have room for dessert in the end!
The bill came to £31.30 for the three dishes and two soft drinks. Very reasonable in my opinion! This place is a definite rival for Mamma Mia’s in the pizza stakes! So I would definitely keep it in mind, it is only a little further into the South District than Mamma Mia’s so it isn’t difficult to find!
