Architecture in Gib # 04 – Mess House Lane

A friend of ours came to visit and stayed with his brother who lives opposite this building. I love the colour of the brickwork against the wall and the shutters. It looks so fresh. Also I think this a really good blend of English and Mediterranean architecture. It is tucked away behind Main Street, and unless you are going for a wander it could remain fairly well hidden. It is next to The Church of Scotland, and very close to the Elliot Hotel if you want to see it for yourself. I’m not entirely sure, but I think it might be a government building. I’d be curious to know if it is residential, as I bet those rooms have the highest ceilings!
